Garmin has announced its latest GPS cycling computers, the Edge 540 and Edge 840 Series. The advanced, yet compact cycling computers offer a wide array of performance-based training metrics, targeted adaptive coaching, real-time stamina monitoring, and improved mapping capabilities. New solar charging models allow up to 32 hours of battery life in demanding use or up to 60 hours in battery saver mode, giving riders extra ride time.
Garmin's latest series also includes multi-band GNSS technology to enhance positioning accuracy, improved navigational support, and worldwide Trailforks trail content. In addition, riders can stay connected with built-in safety and tracking features, such as LiveTrack, group messaging, and incident detection, and compatibility with Varia line of cycling radars and headlights, inReach devices, and Tacx indoor smart trainers.
