Holding Redlich partner to deliver keynote at ACE25 Accounting Conference & Expo
Accounting Times welcomes Jessica Tsiakis, partner at Holding Redlich, to discuss how businesses can prepare for the upcoming AML/CTF regulations at ACE25.
Now in its second year, ACE25 Accounting Conference & Expo will bring together leading industry professionals to arm attendees with the latest technical guidance and practical advice.
With over 400 attendees in 2024, this year’s ACE25 Accounting Conference & Expo is expected to be bigger than ever. The highly anticipated one-day event offers attendees in-depth insights on regulatory changes for the coming year.
Jessica Tsiakis, partner at Holding Redlich, will deliver a keynote address where she will explore how accounting professionals and businesses can prepare for changes to the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act (AML/CTF Act).
Her session will reflect on the bill to amend Australia’s AML/CTF Act introduced into parliament last year.
The legislation expands the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing regime to certain high-risk services provided by accountants, lawyers, trust and company service providers, and real estate professionals.
Tsiakis’ keynote will examine the new regime, discuss why it was introduced, how it will apply to accountants, and what is required from professionals and businesses to ensure compliance.
Tsiakis brings over 20 years of experience across Australia and Europe to the ACE25 Accounting Conference & Expo.
Her career spans private practice, litigation, and in-house counsel with experience across national and international law firms, a global insurer, and a private investment company.
Tsiakis is currently a partner at Holding Redlich in the Melbourne Dispute Resolution & Litigation team. In her role, she represents both large corporations in complex multi-party disputes and acts for smaller businesses, companies, and individuals.
In addition to Tsiakis, other speakers include:
-
Scott Treatt CTA, chief executive at The Tax Institute
-
Kaitilin Lowdon, principal lawyer at Sladen Legal
-
Meg Heffron, managing director at Heffron
