Accelerating financial agility: the role of automation in streamlining month-end close

Recent research reveals the average finance team spends almost 3 months a year on month-close activities and that automation can cut this by two-thirds.

A research report by Sage has revealed that around half of finance teams are still using manual processes to review transactions for anomalies or inaccuracies, with the average finance team taking 7 working days to close books.

Journal entries, bank reconciliation and reviewing transactions remain the top culprits for slowing down the close process. The research also indicates that over half of finance leaders have yet to implement processes around their top pain points.

Hear from Sage for a discussion on what manual processes can be replaced with automation and what behaviours and issues are impacting financial close.

The webcast will explore:

  1. What specific tasks in the financial close process can be replaced with automation?

  2. How are businesses using automation to address staffing shortages?

  3. Where are businesses that have fully implemented automation focusing their time and attention?
