The Alpha to Zulu of dual-zone time
Longines has released a version of its Spirit Zulu Time dual-zone watch with a smaller diameter case and updated anti-magnetic components. The Spirit Zulu Time comes with either a matt black anthracite or sun-ray blue dial, coloured ceramic bidirectional bezel, separate GMT hand and variety of straps. The highlight of the collection features an 18K gold bezel and crown, with chocolate brown ceramic bezel insert and leather or stainless steel bracelet. Longines says the model reflects its century-long expertise in dual-zone watches and the “Zulu” name derives from the letter “Z” as a reference to universal time in the military. The timepiece is “perfectly positioned at the crossroads of traditional watchmaking and innovation”, Longines says. Spirit Zulu Time 39mm versions start from $4,575, around $1,700 more affordable than the 42mm models.
