Guilt-free diamonds a gem of an idea
Sustainable jewellery specialist Marlii Lab has launched an e-commerce platform and will open a retail outlet in Adelaide for its collection of rings, necklaces and bracelets featuring man-made gems.
Marlii Lab said its laboratory grown diamonds, emeralds, rubies and sapphires, combined elegance and sustainability for the “modern, fashionable, and socially aware woman”.
It said its lab-grown gems were identical to their natural counterparts, chemically and optically, and it also used recycled gold as well as responsibly sourced packaging and a paperless dispatch system.
Each piece was handmade to order and Marlii Lab’s boutique in Hyde Park, South Australia, opens next month.
“Our aim is to inspire love, beauty, and creativity while safeguarding our natural world,” brand manager Charlotte Kelly said. "We want to empower the wearer to make a statement about the world they envision.
