Forvis Mazars debuts partnership to bolster carbon accounting
Forvis Mazars and Sumday have announced a new partnership focused on facilitating sustainable business imperatives.
Forvis Mazars and Sumday have revealed a strategic partnership to digitally enable carbon accounting for Forvis Mazars' clients and enforce sustainability.
The two companies said together they would aim to empower organisations with carbon accounting solutions that enabled them to track, measure and manage emissions effectively.
Sumday, a carbon accounting software for businesses, revealed it would aid in Forvis Mazars’ regular work in helping organisations navigate modern business challenges such as reporting and managing their environmental impact.
The partnership would combine Forvis Mazars’ advisory capabilities with Sumday’s carbon accounting platform to create a seamless experience for businesses navigating the path to sustainability.
Forvis Mazars head of sustainability, Damien Lambert, said the partnership was the right step in the direction towards sustainable practice.
“Our clients are increasingly seeking reliable solutions to understand and reduce their environmental impact,” Lambert said.
“Sumday’s platform provides the precision and scalability we need to deliver high-quality carbon accounting services. This partnership underscores our commitment to supporting businesses in their sustainability journey.”
Forvis Mazars’ Sydney and Melbourne offices were set to leverage the Sumday platform to deliver tailored carbon accounting services, helping clients establish credible emissions baselines, set achievable reduction targets and align with global sustainability frameworks.
According to the companies, Forvis Mazars’ clients would be able to gain access to advanced carbon accounting technology, tailored advisory services and scalable solutions.
Whether businesses were starting with a baseline or aiming for net zero, this partnership would offer tools and expertise to support every stage of the journey, Lambert said.
Sumday head of partnerships Henry Chinchen said Sumday was thrilled to aid in the journey towards more sustainable accounting practices.
“By partnering with Forvis Mazars in Australia, we are unlocking additional vital expertise and resources for our users that complement our mission to make carbon accounting simple, accurate and impactful,” he said.
“Together we’re enabling more Australian businesses to turn their sustainability goals into measurable results.”
The motivation behind the partnership was attributed to upcoming regulation and the active pursuit by medium- to large-sized companies to adopt carbon reduction strategies.
