BDO, PKF expand footprints with NSW offices
The two top 10 firms grow in Parramatta and Scone respectively, cementing their presence in the state.
Top 10 accounting firms BDO and PKF have both expanded their presence in NSW with recent office moves.
BDO Australia said it was growing its footprint in Greater Western Sydney with the expansion of its Parramatta office just 18 months after setting it up.
Established in March 2022 with 20 workstations, the expansion would take that to 70 along with five meeting rooms, five focus rooms, two collaborative areas and a wellness room.
NSW office managing partner Grant Saxon (pictured) said the newer and larger premises were a sign of the firm’s commitment to the region.
“The BDO brand and our broad capability is really resonating in the Greater Western Sydney market and we have already experienced rapid growth and success,” he said. “This larger space will enable us to better accommodate our clients and our people as we continue to grow.”

The office would provide a whole-of-firm service offering to the region, including audit, tax, business services and advisory services.
BDO, one of the fastest-growing firms in the top 10 according to the latest rankings in The Australian Financial Review, now has 12 offices across the country with 271 partners and over 2,440 staff.
Meanwhile, PKF now has an Upper Hunter branch after the rebranding of Scone accounting firm Rose & Partners.
“This strategic move signifies a powerful partnership with the renowned PKF brand, enhancing the firm’s ability to serve the local community while leveraging the extensive resources of an international network,” the firm said.
Rose & Partners had operated for more than three decades in the Scone region, now with partners John Hallett and Paul Heaton plus 11 professionals and four administrative staff.
Co-founder Mr Heaton said the move opened a fresh chapter for the firm.
“We genuinely believe that the Upper Hunter region deserves an accounting firm that offers all the benefits of the PKF network while remaining deeply committed to our local community,” he said.
PKF Australia now has 15 offices across Australia with over 120 partners and over 800 staff.
