The newly appointed senior leaders include David Xu, Kareena Nihalani, Susan Manau, Kino Xiong and Stephanie Sheppard who are spread across the company’s Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane branches.

“At Forvis Mazars, recognising and developing top talent is integral to our success,” DeBono said.

“The promotions are a testament to their hard work and the significant contributions they have made to our firm. We congratulate each of them and look forward to the continued growth and impact they will bring in their new roles.”

Loke will step into her new role as a business advisory partner within the Melbourne branch.

According to Forvis Mazars, Loke began her career at the company as a graduate and provides comprehensive support to a diverse clientele in the business advisory division.

“She is a trusted advisor who delivers significant value to clients through her exceptional problem-solving skills,” the company said.

“Her dedication to continuous improvement, coupled with a strong emphasis on systems and processes and an acute attention to detail, positions her as a leader in business enhancement and innovation.”

The Sydney branch of Forvis Mazars will see David Xu and Kino Xiong step up to be associate directors.

Xu has over 15 years’ experience and specialises in providing end-to-end financial outsourcing solutions across various industries, including technology, financial services and property.

Xiong joined the Sydney branch in 2022 after having worked at the Forvis Mazars Netherlands branch.

Xiong has 12 years of experience in audit and works with a diverse client portfolio that includes listed and privately owned companies, as well as subsidiaries of foreign-based global corporations.

In addition to Loke’s promotion, Kareena Nihalani and Susan Kamau have also been appointed as associate directors at the Melbourne branch.

Forvis Mazars said Nihalani began her professional journey as a graduate accountant in the business advisory division and has advanced the ranks to her new role.

“Nihalani’s portfolio comprises a diverse array of clients, spanning high-net-worth individuals to substantial privately-owned enterprises, all unified by her commitment to developing enduring relationships,” Forvis Mazars said.

Kamau will also step into her new associate director role in the business advisory division. She has over 12 years of experience and assists clients at every stage of their business journey, from start-up to divestment.

Forvis Mazars said Kamau tailors her services to meet the specific needs of her clients, ensuring that accounting and regulatory requirements are met without risk and in a timely, commercial manner.

Stephanie Sheppard has been appointed as a senior consultant in HR and IR consulting in Brisbane.

Sheppard has over 10 years’ experience in HR roles with a focus on complex workplace issues.

“Her extensive experience in the health and community services sector has made her a trusted consultant for major non-profit employers as well as a diverse range of for-profit organisations,” Forvis Mazars said.

“Her expertise spans workplace investigations, managing ill or injured employees, disciplinary matters, workplace changes, compliance and job evaluations.”

Forvis Mazars Sydney managing partner Matthew Ashley said the various appointments are prime examples of the company’s drive to upskilling and sustainable growth.

“We are committed to developing the next generation of leaders because our people are our most valuable asset,” he said.

“These promotions reflect the exceptional growth and leadership of each individual and we are excited to welcome them to our leadership team.”
