Forvis Mazars unveils new leadership and governance structure
The accounting firm has revealed a new governance model for 2025 and the reappointment of Hervé Hélias as chairman.
Forvis Mazars has revealed that Hervé Hélias has been reappointed as chairman and Pascal Jauffret appointed as CEO amid the launch of its evolved governance structure.
The new model, effective immediately, would allow governance, strategy setting and oversight around key topics to be provided by a group governing board.
According to the firm, the group governance board would have a group executive committee entrusted with leadership and execution of decisions and implementation of strategies.
With the new structure, Hélias as chairman was set to lead the group governing board while Jauffret as CEO would lead the group executive committee.
Forvis Mazars said the developments were part of the firm’s strategy to “further advance the business, enhance the integrity of its operations and sustain its ongoing development as a top ten global firm.”
Hélias said he was delighted for Jauffret to assume the role of CEO and put the new governance model into action.
“Stewardship is one of our core values, as we have grown and strengthened our business, we have decided to evolve our framework,” he said.
“This will allow us to continue to grow our partnership as a distinctive and resilient force in the markets and societies in which we work and live.”
Hélias and Jauffret had worked alongside one another at the company for over 25 years and were valued members of the firm.
Forvis Mazars said Hélias joined the company as a fresh graduate in 1986, holding multiple leadership positions before his appointment to CEO in 2016, before assuming both the chairman and CEO role of the group executive board in 2018.
Jauffret said it had been an honour to work with Hélias over the past 25 years, including the past five years as part of the group executive board.
“I am truly honoured to have been elected to this new role by the partnership and look forward to driving our strategy forward, sparking long-term growth and success in those business areas where we seek to excel and provide a bright future to our people,” he said.
Jauffret joined Forvis Mazars in 1997 as an auditor and has undertaken various assignments and leadership roles including managing partner of Italy, head of M&A in the Asia-Pacific region and group executive board member since 2019.
Hélias said the next step for the firm would reflect its story of collective and sustained growth.
“I firmly believe that we have never been in a better position than we are today, to provide exciting, rewarding opportunities for our people and to deliver the exceptional multidisciplinary expertise that our clients and the market need.”
