Grant Thornton appointment to drive ‘enterprise-wide transformation’
The recent appointment of a new national head of retail and consumer products is expected to be transformative for Grant Thornton.
Wi Liem Chua secured the role with goals to “implement enterprise-wide transformation and designing operating models for the future to enable client growth and customer value generation.”
“I'm thrilled to take on the role of head of retail and consumer products and lead our team to provide real-world solutions and measurable outcomes for our clients. Our approach is rooted in hands-on collaboration, where we work alongside clients and empower their teams to create enduring impact and foster continuous growth,” Chua said.
“In today’s dynamic market, retailers seek partners who can quickly adapt and accelerate their strategies through to execution. We prioritise collaboration, accountability, and capability-building to ensure our clients maintain momentum, achieve tangible outcomes, and continue to thrive even after our engagement concludes.”
Chua brings 15 years of experience in retail expansion experience to the table, which he will leverage in promoting client experience with the global organisation.
Fraser McNaughton, chief marketing officer and industry at Grant Thornton, said: “As a retailer first, and a consultant second, Wil’s career history highlights the importance of authentic retail experience in leadership roles within our Retail and Consumer Products industry group. Driving genuine outcomes and deliverable results will continue to be Wil’s and the wider team’s laser focus for our retail clients.”
“Wil takes over the leadership role from Matt Darby, who held the position for over two years bringing with him deep retail expertise. I want to thank Matt for his support of the core Retail team which helped us strengthen our highly regarded reputation within the very competitive Retail market,” McNaughton said.
