Grant Thornton appoints new risk advisory partners and director
After welcoming director Max Tan earlier this year, new partners Leonah Goh and Prakash Wilson will join Grant Thornton’s risk consulting team.
Grant Thornton has added two new partners, Leona Goh, and Prakash Wilson, to its risk consulting team – after welcoming a new director, Max Tan, earlier this year.
Beginning 1 March, Goh will bring more than 16 years of experience in internal audit and risk and assurance services across the big four firms to Grant Thornton’s Melbourne team.
“I am incredibly honoured and excited to start this new chapter with Grant Thornton, an organisation whose values and vision resonate deeply with mine,” she said.
“I look forward to working closely with a diverse and talented team to create lasting positive value for our clients and the broader community.”
Wilson, on the other hand, brings more than two decades of experience advising on governance, risk, internal audit, and process redesign services.
As KMPG’s audit, assurance, and risk consulting lead partner for education and NSW Government, Wilson deepened his ability to deliver on “practical and sustainable change” across the public and higher education sectors.
“To me, by investing and actively listening to our clients on the issue at hand we can then provide the best advice,” said Wilson.
“Clients need to know they have a risk consulting partner they can trust by bringing together specialist capability, tailoring the solution to the biggest client needs, and taking a hands-on approach to delivering results,” he added.
Wilson will be starting in the firms’ Sydney office on 1 May.
Grant Thornton partner and national head of risk consulting, Jarrod Lean said the additions bring a “significant opportunity to continue to build our market share in the risk sector by providing premium internal audit, risk management, technology risk, and financial crime services to our clients.”
“Both Leona and Prakash are excited to join the Grant Thornton team, drawn to our values and welcoming culture, and most importantly dedicated to the growth of risk consulting,” added Lean.
Since joining on 15 January, Tan has been serving as director to the firm’s risk consulting team.
