Wexted opens Melbourne office, appoints new partner
Restructuring advisory firm Wexted has appointed former PwC director Chris Sequeira to lead its recently launched Melbourne office.
Wexted has announced the opening of a new office in Melbourne, following the launch of its Brisbane office just last month.
Chris Sequeira has been appointed as partner and will lead the Wexted’s presence in the Victorian market.
Sequeira has worked in the insolvency industry for 20 years, including periods at Grant Thornton, BDO and PPB, and most recently at PwC as a Director in Business Recovery.
Wexted has recently undertaken major safe harbour and insolvency assignments in Melbourne including the administration of a business in the scrap metal sector and the voluntary administration of a private hospital.
The firm said the addition of Chris Sequeira as a partner would significantly add to its capability and client serviceability.
Commenting on his appointment, Sequeira said he was eager to lead the charge in Melbourne to provide trusted restructuring, safe harbour and formal insolvency services to its clients.

Wexted partner Joe Hayes said it was an exciting time for the firm as it adds new leaders to the firm.

Wexted also recently appointed insolvency and restructuring specialist Rebecca Wilson as director to lead its Brisbane office.
Wilson was most recently at Grant Thornton, and prior to that spent many years at EY, KPMG and having begun her career at Deloitte.
She has focused on insolvency and restructuring throughout that time and is highly credentialed in both formal and restructuring advisory work.
Wilson said she was excited to join the growing team at Wexted and lead the expansion into Queensland.
“I look forward to helping develop that capability and both providing high quality services to the Brisbane clients, growing our team locally as well as leading jobs nationally,” she said.
Hayes said Rebecca Wilson was a great for the firm’s existing business model.
