blackline announces key microsoft integrations to enhance workflow 2

Software provider BlackLine has added a Microsoft Teams integration and an enhanced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Connector which will provide workflow-related alerts and further automate data.

Digital finance software firm BlackLine has added a Microsoft Teams integration and introduced new capabilities to its Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) Connector to enable customers to streamline and optimise key finance and accounting processes.

The newly added Microsoft Teams collaboration and messaging services will provide customers with real-time notifications for time-sensitive actions. The new integration is available now for early adoption.

The Microsoft Teams integration will allow BlackLine users to receive real-time administrative, system and business workflow-related alerts directly in the Microsoft Teams chat.

Real-time notification will help users to make more informed and timely decisions to enhance productivity, minimise errors and speed up financial close, the software provider said.

The enhancements to BlackLine’s pre-configured Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations Connector for Financial Close & Consolidation Solutions will enable customers to access more data quicker and automate more of their close workflows.

The new functionalities through BlackLine’s Microsoft D365 Connector will enable organisations to automate more of the data flow from their D365 ERP and to pull more data types including currency rates and multi-currency balances.

BlackLine SVP of finance solutions and technology Mike Polaha said the company is focused on providing capabilities that are “quick-to-deploy, easy-to-use, and offer unparalleled business value, especially to the many businesses that rely on Microsoft for their financial operations”.

The software provider has also announced an expansion to its accounts receivable (AR) automation solutions portfolio, introducing e-invoice presentment and payment (EIPP) capabilities.

The addition of EIPP comes as a result of the company’s acquisition of partner Data Interconnect, a provider of electronic invoicing software and global compliant invoicing based in the UK.

The newly acquired EIPP capabilities give users the ability to generate, send, and monitor invoices in diverse e-invoice formats through a multitude of delivery channels.

It also helps companies comply with evolving e-invoicing regulations across various countries.

The new features also allow payers to conveniently access and download invoices through secure, branded, customer invoice portals, enhancing self-service capabilities.

In addition to EIPP, BlackLine’s unified AR automation solutions now include cash application, credit and risk management, collections management, dispute resolution, task management, and analytics to power data-driven decision-making on credit limits, risk policies, collections strategies, and more.

“AR automation is a critical component in any modern accounting or digital finance transformation journey,” said Therese Tucker, Co-CEO of BlackLine.

“With the addition of EIPP, we are now offering an end-to-end Invoice-to-Cash solution for our clients and enabling them to drive further operational excellence in their accounts receivable organisations.”
