caseware and validis join forces to bolster audit industry

Caseware has partnered with Validis to provide audit firms with powerful data ingestion tools to deliver audit-ready data from diverse sources.

Caseware has announced a strategic partnership with Validis, an accounting data extraction and standardisation tool.

According to Caseware, Validis was already a trusted partner for numerous large audit firms, providing them with instant access to business data from major accounting systems.

“Automation helps ensure that data processing adheres to regulatory requirements and industry standards, reducing the risk of non-compliance,” Caseware said.

“Simultaneously, audit professionals are empowered to focus on deriving quality insights and creating value instead of being overwhelmed by routine data management tasks.”

The new partnership would be set to extend this capability to Caseware’s cloud-based customers in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand.

Caseware chief commercial officer Davis Jackson said quality data was the cornerstone of Caseware’s vision.

“It fuels our commitment to deliver precise, insightful and transformative solutions for audit and accounting professionals,” he said.

“By ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and accuracy, we enable them to make informed decisions, drive innovation and achieve unparalleled results.”

“Our collaboration with Validis amplifies our commitment to empowering accounting professionals to do their jobs better than they ever have before.”

Caseware and Validis said the partnership would aim to enhance data collection, cleansing and standardisation which would offer benefits for organisations looking to harness their full potential of data.

This would allow firms to focus on analysis and decision making rather than data preparation, Caseware noted.

The standardised data would also make it easier to identify anomalies, assess bookkeeping quality and analyse trends across client portfolios.

“In addition to being more accurate, consistent and delivering data of a higher quality, automated systems can handle large volumes of data efficiently, scaling up as volumes grow- particularly important for organisations dealing with big data,” Caseware said.

Caseware and Validis noted their partnership reflected their shared commitment to fostering meaningful collaborations that drove innovation, expanded market research and enhanced competitive advantage.

Both organisations also said they had elected to work alongside like-minded teams who were equally dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for audit and accounting professionals.

Validis managing director accounting, Jeff Gramlich, said the company was excited to collaborate with Caseware to deliver audit-ready data through cutting-edge standardisation capabilities.

“This partnership provides auditors with the data breadth and granularity crucial for delivering a data-driven audit,” he said.

“By integrating our technologies, we’re empowering auditors to conduct data-driven audits with enhanced efficiency and risk analysis, ultimately transforming the process to benefit both auditors and their clients.”
